Tenby is a New York based women’s wear label, bourne out of the desire to create beautifully constructed clothes that capture the perfect balance between masculine tailoring and feminine sensuality.
With exquisite craftsmanship and a nod to off-kilter beauty, Marino Isolani has been winning fans and followers among peers and clients in an almost 15-year fashion career. Now, as Head Designer of Tenby, he is poised to merge his passion for the art of menswear tailoring and sophisticated fabrications with elements of couture to render a line of pieces that are both fun and feminine.
Marino’s life is a study in contrasts and cool curiosity coupled with a reverence for women. Growing up in Luxembourg among three generations of strong, independent females, Marino was able to cultivate his natural talents in a place that did not offer the option of pursuing a style profession.
His inspired approach to fashion and design began at 18, with an apprenticeship at Henry Poole & Co. on Savile Row, London, followed by internships and fulltime roles with leading designers including John Varvatos, Ralph Lauren Purple Label, Bill Blass, Ralph Rucci and most recently, Carolina Herrera, where he worked and traveled with the designer developing her sportswear line.
These experiences provided the platform for a fast-paced career that has allowed Marino to cultivate and refine his natural talents and find his vision and technical vocabulary with every new collection he creates.
Marino completed his formal education at Parsons School of Design where he earned his BFA in 2008.
