Plakinger was started by Mother-Daughter duo Galina Plakinger and Svetlana Ziggel to “realize their idea of modern and unpretentiously luxurious fashion”. Plakinger looks back on a long experience as a bespoke tailoring atelier, working with its male and female clients to create clothes that would be treasured for a very long time. The Plakinger collections are made in Germany featuring vibrant colors, a beautiful blending of fabrics, and high-class tailoring. Plakinger introduced their first collection in Summer Spring 2013 and has since then presented four further collections.
Plakinger is a line that strives to create fashionable clothing for women that are not only chic, but also looking for comfortable all day long wear. The suit is the starting point for every PLAKINGER collection. Each collection is characterized by not only its mixture of luxurious materials and textures, but also its fusion of feminine classics and traditional men’s tailoring. The result is a play between powerful style and gentle wardrobe classics.
runway2street is excited to feature the work of such a rich and multidimensional brand. We believe that there is something for every woman in each Plakinger collection, whether it is a seductively lady like dress, masterfully tailored cocktail shorts, a beautiful and impeccably cut tuxedo jacket, or a body-conscious jumpsuit. Every piece in itself is a work of art. We believe that Plakinger is modern feminine, effortlessly luxurious, and timeless.
A celebration of the simple beauty found in women, Plakinger’s bohemian SS17 collection is the label’s interpretation of contemporary elegance. Handmade pieces that showcase an array of floral motifs and elegant silhouettes, this collection was designed with a strong, independent-minded woman in mind. Each pattern is hand drawn and depicts images inspired by nature’s bounty paired with hues inspired by inner beauty and femininity.
