Armenian born Anna Karapetyan was fascinated by fine and fashion jewelry from a very young age. She originally studied economics in Armenia before moving to Paris to do her masters in Fashion, following her heart. She then honed her fashion industry experience at Alexander Wang before starting her fine jewelry label Karapetyan in 2013.
It’s an extraordinary first collection that was inspired by the atmosphere in Paris, provocative images of Helmut Newton mixed with her love for gothic architecture. Anna says she wanted to showcase two women at the opposite end of the spectrum, opposing personalities – a sophisticated woman and an eccentric rebel. We think that certainly resonates with us at Runway2Street where we believe there’s in a bit of both in every woman.
The collection is made entirely of 14 or 18 ct. gold or silver that makes it very wearable and affordable; featuring diamonds, pearls or precious stones. Utterly delicious pieces that will always be a conversation starter.
The “Mademoiselle” collection takes you back to the golden period, La Belle Epoque. It's all about the contrast between the mysterious past and the modern times we live in today, about reinventing classic jewelry with a fresh approach, without losing the essence.
