Isa Tapia received her pedigree by studying at Parsons School of Design and interning with Marc Jacobs. While still in her senior year she began an apprenticeship that lasted 4 years with Oscar de la Renta which led to her love of shoemaking. In recent years she has led the Ann Taylor accessories department, where she was responsible for building the non-apparel business. Isa has also played key roles in the accessories departments of Juicy Couture and Jones New York and designed the launch collection for Loeffler Randall handbags.
Isa launched her namesake label in 2011 aiming to make feminine shoes that are bold, colorful and have a point of view. Inspired by her fastpaced lifestyle and the women around her, she brings downtown appeal to uptown design, making glamorous shoes. "I design shoes for all the women in my life. Most of the shoes are named after friends of mine. Beautiful, busy, glamorous women that play lots of different roles. Women that want to be sexy and feminine but practical."
We at Runway2Street think that Isa Tapia shoes are beautiful, glamourous and perfect for women to add a little personality and show off their playful side.
